Babycinno Theme Week: Having Babies

2008-03-19-babyccino.jpg

Babycinno Blog is a joint venture of four friends living in four European cities - London, Amsterdam, Paris and Milan. All told they have seven children with an eighth on the way. This week they're writing about their experiences birthing babies in different countries - their best tips for a smooth delivery and recovery, differences in medical practices and some of their favorite products related to birth, healing, breastfeeding, etc.

For example, Michela in Milan reports that delivering mothers in Italy stay a minimum of three days in the hospital and fathers aren't allowed to attend C-Section surgeries. Esther in Amsterdam shares that one in three babies in the Netherlands are born at home compared to less than one percent of babies in the U.S.

Whether you're interested in comparing your experience to theirs or have questions about cultural or medical differences related to pregnancy and birth, head on over to Babycinno to read their posts and join in the conversation.
