Why not have fun while doing something good for others? Mustaches for Kids currently has 16 chapters spread across the U.S. and Canada and they provide instructions for starting your own chapter wherever you are. Charities they help include the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Children's Hospital of New Orleans, and San Francisco's Legal Services for Children.
Each "growing season" is capped off with a festive Mustache Competition. If you can't grow a mustache you can sponsor your favorite grower or make a donation here. Thanks for rocking those 'staches, guys!
They have the same type tradition in New Zealand. If I'm not mistaken, it's fondly referred to as 'Movember.
