Those are great chairs!! However, I can't believe how much money people are willing to spend on a chair that has a very limited time frame of use. I found this chair at Marshall's for $27. It's not a famous chair, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper:

In my opinion, these overpriced designer minatures are right in line with the very expensive baby/kid boutique clothing.... or an expensive bag / sunglasses covered with designer emblems. It's parents attempting to impress people with their wealth. It's nothing more.

I love a vintage knoll chair just like everyone else... but even if I was a multimillionaire, I wouldn't buy a thousand dollar chair for a toddler. (Similarly, I avoid all items covered with designer names.)

It is so easy to find stylish childrens chairs for less money. Sure, they're not minature replicas of design icons, but they're stylish nonetheless.

A friend of mine makes these: http://littlewhirl.wordpress.com/2009/04/17/dmfd-cub-chair/ He sent my daughter one and she loves it. PLus it's nice & heavy which eliminates side chairs being flung around the room....

I think many of you would be interested in the woodcrest chair from Community Playthings.

They are lovely to look at and very comfortable for children. I am a kindergarten teacher and I can say that they are very sturdy and built to be used by children for many years.

target has some really cute and affordable kid-sized chairs. my daughter received one for her 2nd birthday last year - it is a little leather-like club chair and goes great with our living room furniture.
