Inspiration: Using Outdoor Rugs Inside

050609-outdoorrugs.jpg It's a well documented fact that kids and floor coverings are in a never ending battle. Utilizing an outdoor rug in a main play area is a great way to keep ahead of the war on stain fighting. Since they are meant to take on the wrath of Mother Nature, they come clean in a snap! And they even possess the ability to do something normal rugs can't. Click through the jump to find out what!

When the worst stains happen on normal carpets you are left on bended knee with cleaning tools and cleansers. But with an outdoor rug all you need to do is roll them up and take them to the car wash! Unroll them on the stall floor and spray away! The high pressure of the spray will break free even the worst stain and keep things all shiny and new. Hang your rug out to dry for a few hours and it's good as new, every time.

They are also great in high traffic areas. We use an outdoor rug in our own home for under our computer desk. Its an area that has more foot traffic than normal plus is the go-to lounge spot for our pair of four legged friends. We simply vacuum it and once a week!

The rugs pictures above the jump are from Susan Bradley and start at $300.

I like those outdoor rugs made indoors. They look like cut out patterns from pieces of paper, like those snowflake patterns that you would do in school.
