Mini First Aid from Kabalab

111209minifirstaid.jpgWe saw this at Target a few days ago while we were picking up a larger first aid kit for the house, and were captured by both the design and usefulness. We ended up tossing one in our basket.

Kabalab writes on their website, "It would make us very happy if Mini First Aid products would become your stylish little friends that help you whenever you need them."

Well, they just might! It's the perfect size to toss into your diaper bag, purse or pocket, and it comes with an emergency card, bandages, and antiseptic swabs all in this cute case about the size of an iPhone. They have four designs: green medical cross, orange bear, blue pirate, or pink princess.

For a little over $3, it's a great little gift for your mom friends from the playground.

They also make larger first aid sets, refills, and cold packs. You can find them in Target stores, Moma Stores, and online at Amazon.

I bought one too... but was disappointed that it's a lot of money for just a couple of bandaids and some antiseptic wipes. I'm sure it would be just as easy to toss some bandaids in a zip-lock bag. But the little container is cute, and I can refill it when the bandaids run out, I guess.

I saw this about a year ago and also couldn't resist its cuteness, but yeah, it didn't supplant the first aid kit I'd already assembled for my diaper bag. Still haven't used it...

I just bought the 99-cent travel soap container (the kind that holds a bar of soap) from the travel-size area of Target, then put together my own first aid kit. Mine has band-aids, several 3"x3" gauze pads (a necessity for first aid), a pair of non-latex gloves, and antiseptic wipes.

I bought this about 6 months ago and love it! I always have it in my purse. My daughter doesn't always have a bag bc she is old enough to not need diapers with us at all times. So, when we're out and about and all I have is my clutch, I can still have my emergency kit! It's come in handy many times and the bandages don't get all messed up like they would otherwise...trust me, I know from experience! Plus, it's just adorable :)
