Thank you for the tip. I've been meaning to buy a red Tripp Trapp for the kid -- and now, I finally did!

The round and oval cribs are a great looking idea but parents should know that they are actually smaller than standard cribs so baby grows out of them faster. That's why they are sold with all sorts of adjustment kits to make them bigger. My son slept in his crib until just before his third birthday, when we transferred him to a toddler bed which uses the same crib mattress. You won't get that kind of time out of a round or oval crib. Again, just want people to know that. Also we have the trip trapp with the infant attachment. It is the best high chair out there and will last for years. For babies to be able to place their feet flat on a surface while eating really helps with focus during feeding. I don't like to get sucked into high end baby products but the trip trapp is worth it!

Just a quick note...I definitely agree, the round cribs are smaller, but we've been really happy with our oval crib (the Stokke Sleepi). Our son is now a year and a half, and moves around a lot in his sleep, and has plenty of room still in the Stokke. It's a little smaller only in that it doesn't have corners, but in terms of length and width, it seems comparable to other cribs. Anyway, we actually liked the slightly compact size since it fits in his bedroom better, and haven't had an issue with him outgrowing it.

Just wanted to provide some input from an oval-crib owner.

Glad to hear the Trip Trapp is so great, we've been debating whether it's worth the money, sounds like it is!
