ok, the Tummy Tub looks like a wastebasket I have! I am really laughing at it.....oh my goodness, I should just wash my trash can and then put my child in there......oh geez....someting about this just doesn't seem safe either! agh - too funny/tragic!

Yeah, that tub puzzles me. The baby looks fairly happy, though.

I've seen the Tummy Tub in person (even if I never used one for my own child). It's very popular here in Holland. It's actually bottom heavy, which make it stable, especially if you fill it with water. Definitely doesn't flip easily, if that what concerns you.

oh the tub looks horrid... I know how slippery my kid was at that age, I couldn't imagine trying to bathe a newborn in a tub like that. to each their own!

Let's call a spade a spade.

That tummy tub is a bucket.

Take it from me, the Tummy Tub is TERRIFIC!
It is the best piece of baby equipment we ever bought. We still use it with our baby Tom who is now a 2 year old toddler. Personally I found it too hard to use when he was a newborn preferring to take him in the bath or shower with me, but when he got a little bigger and ever since it has been wonderful. The best bit is that it uses so little water as opposed to a regular bath - we are on strict water restrictions here in Australia. But the other great advantage is that even in winter Tom gets a lovely hot bath right up to his shoulders, instead of sitting in a waist deep puddle.
I can't recommend it enough!

I totally agree with Katie333--I have a Tummy Tub, too and it's great. Felix had never been fond of the bath, particularly since our bathroom is drafty. Traditional baby bathtubs had him sitting in lukewarm water that became cooler every minute we struggled to clean him as the cried heartbreakingly because he was chilly. Now, he just sits in his Tummy Tub, feeling secure and warm. Plus, the tub is easier to clean after oatmeal baby oil baths--no more little crevices. I just wash it out with a little dishwashing soap.
