Etsy Scavenger: Cloth Napkins by BellaButt

napkins-cowboy.jpgEtsy seller BellaButt started making these fun, double-sided napkins for her granddaughter because she was going through so many paper towels and paper napkins. In addition to using these inside the home, we can imagine schlepping them along on picnics at the beach or park, or keeping a couple in the stroller or the car to have handy when you need extra-duty napkin power.

Each napkin is a generous 15" by 15" square, with soft flannel on one side and 100% cotton on the other. In addition to being turned and topstitched for durability, they're also machine washable and dryable (which is a dealbreaker for us when it comes to linens... and kids in general).

$8 per pair (your choice of cowboys/checks or flowers/madras) at BellaButt's Etsy store

Seriously? Napkins are a new invention?

I think I was pretty old before I realized there were people who actually bought disposable napkins and towels for use in their homes. Still seems pretty ridiculous.
