Etsy Scavenger: Roshamgnome

card-game.jpgPlaying games with younger children can be tricky. Short attention span + hyper-competitiveness doesn't exactly equal fun family times. We're intrigued by a game we discovered at the Etsy shop Fine Tooth Gnome. Designed for ages four and up, Roshamgnome teaches cooperation, as all the players team up to defeat a mythical player called "the Gnome." If one person wins, everyone wins. Except the Gnome, that is.

Says the proprietor of Fine Tooth Gnome, "My 6 year old and I both love it. It only took a minute for him to learn how to play, and I get to play it without holding back. There is just enough strategy there to make it interesting for me, but not to where I have a noticeable advantage."

The game consists of 30 cards printed on recycled paper ($6) or you can order the PDF ($2) and print out your own set.
