For what it's worth, the bumbo seat was recalled a few months ago.

...to add a sticker to say "Don't be an idiot". They show up at the rate of approximately half a dozen a day on Austin Craigslist.

As I understand it, the Bumbo was not truly recalled. The company voluntarily and temporarily halted sales in order to provide warnings on their packaging about not using the Bumbo on tabletops and other high surfaces. The actual product was never recalled.

That's right, CMcB. The Bumbo itself is not recalled, there were some people who were placing the Bumbo on table tops (instead of the floor as it is meant to be) and babies were falling.
