Library Kik Step Stools

051909librarystool.jpg
You know the ones- those classic library stools; back in the 70's our library had mustard-colored ones. We can think of a whole bunch of uses for them in our home.

Originally, we were looking for a small table next to the chair in our daughter's room where we nurse and read. But we love the idea of using this stool to hold a small bin of books instead. Later, we might use it elsewhere in the house.

You can get them in different colors or choose the 50th Anniversary edition with literature quotes on the top. There's even a new stainless steel version.

You can find them on the Cramer site, and we also found a nice write-up about them over at Notcot.

I have this stool and love it. However, it would not make for a good side table... Stool rolls unless there is sufficient weight (ie. someone standing on it) on it to hold it down.

I love these stools. My boss has one in her office and I swipe it all the time when I need to reach something really high, or I swipe it when I need to do something down low and I want to sit down and pull the seat along with me. They're very useful, and reasonably priced, especially for a tool that lasts for generations.

My grandma has a brown one, she's used it for decades, it is a really nifty stool, expecially since its non slip and double stepped.

I love this stool. I have it in orange and it lives and works in my kitchen.
It also doubles a scooter when small children come over.

too fun!
