061309-bamboo.jpg We've always been big fans of multi-tasking furniture in our spaces. They carry with them the ability to solve more than one design delima down the road. Curious to see what these eco-friendly Mini-Mellos double as? Click through to find out!

061609-bamboo2.jpg Ok so, it's nothing earth shattering, but they double as storage. We know secretly you were hoping they did something truly amazing like make dinner or go to the grocery store for you. Ekobo intends for their product to have a long life in your home, which is a great plus when dealing with things for tots.

Once flipped they can hold books, balls or anything else that starts with the letter "B." It's always nice to know that once your child out grows them as seating you can use them around your home. They would make for an easy ottoman or convenient way to store blankets, bracelets or even be a bread basket in a pinch. We're sure you could come up with a more creative way to use them in your own home (sorry, we're still stuck on "b" words)!

They are 34cmx12cm, just the right size for short legs in need of a stool! They are available in 9 colors, check the Ekobo site for details on where you can find them near you!

I like the big one! It reminds me of the pastil chair with the added bonus of being eco-friendly. The question remains, is it as spendy as Aarnio's chair? I couldn't find any American retailers that carry the mello. Does anyone know how much these run?

You might try calling retailers that carry their product lines period. They can probably order one for you, even if you don't see it on the shelves, or listed on any websites. Most stores are fully willing to take a credit card number of the phone and have it shipped to your doorstep!
