Snille Visitor Chair

2008-07-08-snille chair.jpg
We saw this chair as the icon for the general chair category over on the Ikea website and loved the look right away. We found it under work chairs as a visitor chair, but without testing it out for comfort, we could see it fitting in in various places in the modern family home.

Desk chair, maybe even dining chair? We love the bright colors it comes in: blue-green, green, pink, red, white- and at $19.99 a chair, we might grab a few for extra guests. They even stack on top of each other for easy storage.

We'll be making a trip to the new Brooklyn Ikea very soon- but until then, has anyone tested this chair out personally?

I have these chairs in in red my dining room and I love them! They are really comfortable and solid! The legs are a heavy/sturdy metal and very easy to put together! My friend liked them so much that she got 2 for her place in the color you posted :-)

I bought two for me and my husband's desks in the office. (We sprung for the pink) They're remarkably comfortable and easy to put together. A good product.

Off-topic, but whoa, Andrea... I think our kitchens may have been separated at birth:

I use one as my sewing chair and my husband uses one as his desk chair. They're pretty decent and the colors are great but definitely get the stationary legs pictured and not the rolling swivel base as that base didn't hold up very well to normal use and the rollers marked up the floors. Once we switched over to these legs, we have been much happier.

Haha! I have that exact chair in the trunk of my car awaiting return to IKEA. I love it and thought it was more comfortable than the $80 dining chairs. Unfortunately, it was vetoed by my counterpart who said that they cut off circulation to his feet!? Oh, well.

Am I the only one who thinks they look like chairs from a high school cafeteria? Or maybe stacked against the wall in a dull, grey conference room.

Hyacinthine, that was my first thought. Run-of-the-mill waiting room/conference room chairs. I feel drained and lethargic just looking at them. Plus, I can see myself constantly tripping over the legs, which look like they stick out a bit. I'm clumsy like that.
