Kaboost

Use what you've already got. That's a mantra for small space dwellers and those on a budget. We like products that repurpose your existing furniture. Kaboost gives a boost to your pre-existing dining chairs for kids who no longer need or want to sit in a high chair.

The design allows it to fit most four-legged chairs. Kaboost folds easily so you can take it with you on vacation or to the grandparents' house. It comes in different colors - green, charcoal, chocolate and natural - for those who want it to blend in more with their existing chairs. The company recommends use for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old, but it can hold up to 300 pounds if you want to give it a go.

Unfortunately, Kaboost won't be available until this summer, but you can get on the mailing list here.

The only problem is it leaves the kids' legs dangling. OK if you have short meals, but a sure recipe for a fidgety kid if s/he has to sit for a long period.
