Wooden Blocks by Petit Flaneur

Wooden blocks will never go out of style. Young kids get confidence from stacking them (and then knocking them down) while older kids become small architects and build more elaborate structures. The addition of letters or designs to the blocks adds to their versatility by transforming them into a puzzle to be put together in different configurations.

Petit Flaneur has updated the classic blocks with these playful designs. They currently offer two sets - the garden version or the vintage version - and each also has letters, numbers, and patterns. The apples and ice cream sides can be used to play tic-tac-toe.

Each set contains 12 blocks ($52) made from a variety of hardwood scrap which may include a combination of maple, oak, walnut, cherry or poplar.
