Storage Bags

2009-09-08-storagetote.jpg

Maybe it's due to the change in weather and the unofficial end of summer that we found ourselves crazy about cleaning and organizing this past weekend. Our cupboards were picked through and organized. We were left with a list of ideal storage containers and our hunt for toy storage led us here.

We love these generously-sized storage bags. They feature stiff sides so they stand on their own with a plastic lining for easy wipe down. The outside of the bags have a photo image categorizing the contents to make clean-up even easier. You can order them here for £20 each (international shipping is available).

These seem similar to - although larger and pricier than - the Land of Nod "I Think I Canvas" storage bins. For custom version take some pictures of your kids' stuff and print them out on that nifty iron on paper. I can imagine one for blocks, one for legos, one for army dudes, etc.

I highly recommend the LLBean totes. They are super-sturdy. We bought them last year to use as Easter baskets for our two sons (we had them embroidered with the boys' names for free because we have the LLBean credit card) and we use them ALL THE TIME.
