Animal Baskets From PB Kids

We spotted these great storage solutions at our local PB Kids this weekend. The baskets take the form of animals, so they can be fun in and of themselves.

Each basket is hand-woven rattan. The elephant basket is an open bin while the turtle basket comes with a lid. Available in small or large, honey or white. Prices start at $79 here.

Super cute-but you should never use rattan around a baby or toddler. The rattan splinters off and causes choking/safety hazard. My mom, who owns a preschool, warned me of this when I had my son but it didn't sink in until a friend's 2 year old cousin suffered blindness in one eye after the rattan basket he was playing with splintered off and he poked himself in the iris.
