chalkboard items always seem so cute and handy, but i just can't get on board with them. i think it's from spending time at playgrounds and having all items of my clothes smudged with chalk. I can so easily imagine B pulling down a trug marked "trains", putting his hand right where the chalk is, then giving me a hug and smearing me all over or the couch or his sheets, etc. Don't get me wrong - I am completely used to being covered with liquids and goo; but I do try not to create opportunities for that to happen.
