Chalkboard Storage Trugs

Not just for produce. We found these Chalkboard Storage Trugs at Smith & Hawken and think they are the perfect trio for toy storage. We can see these displayed on open shelving in the living room.

Each is constructed of solid pine with cut-out handles. The chalkboard front makes organizing and clean-up time easy. When empty, they store inside of one another.

chalkboard items always seem so cute and handy, but i just can't get on board with them. i think it's from spending time at playgrounds and having all items of my clothes smudged with chalk. I can so easily imagine B pulling down a trug marked "trains", putting his hand right where the chalk is, then giving me a hug and smearing me all over or the couch or his sheets, etc. Don't get me wrong - I am completely used to being covered with liquids and goo; but I do try not to create opportunities for that to happen.
