Last fall over on Apartment Therapy Chicago we featured
Laurie, Jacob and Matilda's house tour -- one that garnered much praise for the family's months of hard work, stylish and creative choices, and a smooth clutter-free integration of a new baby. Now
Matilda is over one year old, but the family's use of a bright red Topdeq cd rack for storing shoes is still in effect. We imagine this piece will be put to good use for years to come (rolled up clothes, toys, hair accessories -- whatever fits, works).

We clicked through over to Topdeq, and while this particular cd rack is nowhere to be found (probably an old model), any rack would work as long as you can find a way to mount it and the cubbies are contained (an open wire rack is not really going to do the trick).
you can get a similar cd/dvd shelf from ikea.... http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/07305310

So. Cute. Especially in a room that's crunched for storage.
