We love the 'Before and After' feature on Design Sponge and this children's playroom definitely caught our eye. Jessica designed this basement space in her brother's home for his three daughters. Talk about bringing what is often a drab, dingy storage space to life!
Her brother and sister-in-law hired workers to do the construction and painting, but she conceived the layout and did many of the sewing and crafty projects herself. We love the idea of using shutters and shingles indoors which surely makes the basement the next best thing to playing outdoors during foul weather or after dark.
