    That desk is gorgeous -- it's things like that, that would translate to other contexts (such as my childless apartment) that make the nursery section of AT one of my favorites.

    i'm not sure about that stroller story.. is it really an "investment" if you just use it for two years and turn around and sell it? an investment to me means that you buy something that you will use forever and get lots of good use out of before you turn it over to someone else, maybe using it for two or three kids. this story just highlights the fact that the bugaboo is a hot item. people want it because, yes, it's a good stroller but it's also a status symbol.

    gleek -- don't generalize and don't ascribe motivations to others. A status symbol couldn't be further from our minds when we bought a Frog. We've had ours for 4 years and 2 kids, and yes, we consider it an investment, even though we have no thought of resale.
