Resource

I found Design Mom to be a great source, while coming up with ideas.

What inspired you?

We had a makeshift desk in the nook before she started crawling - it was filled with electronics and cords. Once the crawling began, we wanted to create a safe and fun area for her in the family living space. A place that she could call hers. We filled it with furniture her size and shelves she could reach while being safe at the same time. And we needed a place other than just the fridge to disply her artwork!

Great Tip:

Remember that small children really only need small spaces. There are so many big toys with bright lights and loud noises on the market. A small desk and little chairs put together in a comfortable fashion can give them a place to learn and grow just the same.

Do you know where to get those cubes? Those look nice and big, which is exactly what I am looking for to store things under my son's loft bed.

I don't want to be a downer, but those pictures clips could be a choking hazard. I would try another a way of displaying the pictures.

The bins are from Container Store. They come in three sizes and those are the medium size.

And the picture clips are actually threaded on the wire and cannot be removed so the choking hazard was diverted. We specifically looked for one that would be childproof.

Fun to see your nursery here, Melissa!

If readers are curious about the ideas I gave Melissa, you can see the original post where she asked for playspace advice here.

I know I'm about two years late on this, but off chance I might get an answer... I'm in love with the picture clips/wire system. Where did you get this from? An art store? A photo store? A framing store? Thank you!
