Name: Lauren and Davison
Child's Name and Age: Violet, 6 months
Location: Hell's Kitchen, NYC
Size: 565 sq. ft. apartment, 60 sq. ft. nursery
Favorite Source:"Schneider's— everyone who works there seems know everything about their products so you never have to wonder if something is good, only if it would work for you. True, the owner isn’t exactly gentle, but they know their stuff and the prices are lower than other nyc stores."
What inspired you?
"We wanted to build an “urban tree house” for our child, where she could feel cozy and look out in many directions. To do this, we moved our front door and built an angled interior wall enabling us to create a small nursery within the back room of our apartment."

I'm really impressed with what you've done in a teeny space.

Super cute! Is that a vintage rocking chair, or new? If new, where from?

Excellent use of the space. The fabric on the changing table looks fabulous - something different! Every thing looks really well planned and falls together perfectly.

wow- what a great space- can you tell me a little more about the artwork above the changing station? are those pages from a children's book?

sorry it took me awhile to respond to this question- yes, I scanned printed out these pages from a beautiful old children's book full of woodcuts of animals. Found the book on the street several years ago.

Took even longer to respond to the first question, sorry--the rocking chair is a hand-me-down.
