Emily's Pink Pearl Nursery
Small Kids, Big Color Entry # 40

thumbs up

Name: Emily
Age: 3 months
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Color Inspiration: The bedding set was our inspiration for the wall colors. We used two different shades of pink on the walls and painted the ceiling yellow to lighten it up.

Give Emily & Jennifer a THUMBS UP if you think this room belongs in the finals!

Color Inspiration continued: I was happy that the colors matched the flower hooks that I have had from Pottery barn kids for quite some time! We decided to go with white furniture and white curtains to create a nice contrast with the walls.

Tip For Using Color: It's never too late! My husband and I painted the nursery while I was 39 weeks pregnant. I went into labor the day after we finished! Choosing colors can be very overwhelming. I find that I do better with choices when I don't have a lot of time to sit around and think about it! I went with my first choice of colors and ran with it.

Colors Used: Benjamin Moore:

Crib Wall: Pink Pearl

Dresser, window, and closet wall: Genuine Pink

Ceiling: Pale Daffodil

I love the flower wall hooks too! How long ago did you buy them? Hopefully I can find a set on eBay :)

Beautiful room, so girly and elegant - Emily is a lucky lady :)

I could be wrong, but the hooks look like these ones from PB Kids: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/flower-hooks/?pkey=daccessories-shelving-pegs-hooks

Awesome job, and I love the yellow ceiling. I like that you've displayed some little dresses too- what a great way to show off your favorite pieces!

You chose a lovely, calming shade of pink! I purchased the same crib for our little girl (due in Jan.) and picked out bedding with very similar colors to the ones you have used in Emily's nursery. I even plan to paint a tree mural! I hope my daughter's room turns out as pretty as yours!

Pretty room-- and I love the flower hooks for changing the 'art'-- that'll change fast, too!

Thanks everyone for all of the wonderful compliments!

The BookRack, Bird Lamp, and Flower hooks are all from Pottery Barn Kids.

The lamp is one of the first pieces that I bought for the nursery! That's what started the bird theme and then we pulled pieces from different places so it wouldn't look too matchy matchy!

I love the tree! Is this a wall sticker? If yes, where did you purchase it?

Katemom,

Thanks for the compliment! Unfortunately it is not a sticker. My husband painted the tree!

XO,

Jennifer
