Name: Georgia
Age: 8 months
Location: Paris, France
Color Inspiration: This room, which was originally an office, had been wallpapered not long before the baby was born with a paper that I kept because it made the cold, small room seem incredibly cozy but which wasn't a color typically found in baby bedding. I stumbled across...

Color Inspiration continued: ...the photo of clouds at sunrise on Etsy and it seemed the perfect focal point for the room. The colors in the sky picked up the terracota in the paper but also inspired the choice of yellow curtains and bedding, which I ended up sewing up from fabric I found at the fabric market.
Tip For Using Color: In a small apartment, its nice to have all the rooms flow to together, colorwise, but its not always evident how to do that and keep a room kid-friendly. With a bit of searching, its not that hard to turn a sophisticated color scheme into something appropriate for a kid. In the end, I think that I love the result probably more than if I had had a blank page to work from!
Colors Used: The wallpaper is Farrow & Ball in Red Earth. The yellow on the walls is Dayroom Yellow from the same brand. The embroidered fabric is Vivier from Colefax and Fowler.

Great wallpaper, crib bedding and curtains--I like it because it IS different. I disagree with "doubledutch" that it is too formal--it's very feminine but not babyish or even too girly. I even think baby Georgia's name matches the decor for this French nursery. Very pretty and calming colors.

I love it! The artwork is beautiful and I like that it is a room that a baby can grow into. This room can be transformed into a teen room with accessories. The color is rich and cozy.

This is exactly the nursery I would like! Saturated without being bright, calming without being faded. I love it.

Its true that the room is quite formal for a baby and it really was hard to figure out a way to make that wallpaper and the built in cupboards work for a nursery. I think that there is still work to be done in the room but I like stumbling across the right thing rather than forcing it by rushing out and buying the first thing I come across. Watch this space!
The artwork really was the inspiration for the room and all the photos come from Irene Suchocki on etsy.

The lamps and the chair are both from a French furniture company, Mis en Demeure.
