Jack's Legendary Blue Nursery
Small Kids, Big Color Entry # 48

thumbs up

Name: Jack
Age: 2 months
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Color Inspiration: I was actually originally inspired by last year's winner, Julianna's Rainbow Room. I like how there wasn't one dominant color or theme in the room. I always liked Tiffany blue, but I didn't want a typical blue boy's room.

Give Amy & Jack a THUMBS UP if you think this room belongs in the finals!

Color Inspiration continued: So I ultimately decided to go with blue for the walls, but added lots of greens and oranges. The rug, which is full of bold color, was the first purchase I made. It let me justify using any color in the rainbow in the room!

Tip For Using Color: Don't be afraid to go bold and don't feel like everything has to match perfectly. If you like something, you can find a space for it in the room. I wanted to use some of my husband's and my childhood toys. They didn't 'match' anything per se, but we display them on a shelf and they look great!

Colors Used: Pratt and Lambert Legendary Blue

This is a great room! It looks like a bright and happy place to be! I love the animal prints above the changing table. Where did you find those?

Great nursery! I also love the furniture. Would you also provide source information for the crib?

Love it!!

The book sling isn't identical, but it's quite similar to this one from One Step Ahead...
