Savannah & Isaiah's Sunny Shared Space
Small Kids, Big Color Entry #26

thumbs up

Names: Savannah & Isaiah
Ages: 2 and 5 months
Location: Beaverton, Oregon

Color Inspiration: My two kids share a small room. Because I have a girl and a boy, I wanted the room to be gender neutral. And we live in northern Oregon, where the sky is overcast and gray most of the year, so I tried to make the room as sunny and bright as possible though the use of warm, bold colors.

Give Melissa, Savannah & Isaiah a THUMBS UP if you think this room belongs in the finals!

Tip For Using Color: Bold colors bring energy to a room. We used all of the warm colors together (red, orange, yellow and pink) to make it feel sunny and full of vitality.

Colors Used: I sewed my own roman shade from red Ikea hippo fabric, and I hand-dyed the crib bumper orange to match the rug. The walls are butter yellow (a Divine paint color). The furniture is white, and the linens include red, orange, yellow, white and pink. Green is an accent color in both mobiles and the wall art.

That hippo roman shade is wonderful! And I absolutely love the mobile over the toddler bed. Where can I get one?

Thanks! We found the mobile at Pottery Barn a few years back.
