What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in putting together this room? Besides space? Money. It needed to be organized and cute without spending any money. I used what I had around the house to decorate. Paper was used to make birds hang from the ceiling so my 3 year old wouldn't be scared to sleep in there at night. Leftover paint was used to cover bookshelves that were given to us so that the room would match and we would have more places to put toys and books. My fabric stash was used to make bedding. And rope and clothespins were used instead of buying picture frames.

Hanging the photos and artwork on a clothesline is a fun and "vintage-inspired" way to display them, and I love the old, white suitcase under Courderoy's bed. Do you use that for storage? Great idea!

(Love the girls' names, too.)

Super cute. The bed looks simular to a day bed I had from IKEA. Love this room.

I really like the bed - we're getting ready to start the scouting mission for toddler beds. Would love to know where you got this one...

Thanks for the comments. The bed is from Ikea. It is a toddler bed that can grow with your child to a twin size. It is at the smallest size right now and has one more in between size until it is a twin size. It is low to the ground. I actually put it up higher on the leg extender thingys for beds so that I could store more stuff under it. And I store the girls dress up clothes in that big suitcase. I re-did the inside of it to get rid of the grossness and made it cute and girly.

The bed is Minnen from Ikea. It looks even better when you see it yourself. Both my boys have the same bed, in their shared bedroom. They make any room look great.
