Items used for the project and favorite part of the storage solution:
A friend of ours built this bed for our son's room and our intentions were to add a trundle.
Caedmon's room is a converted attic and there is no closet, so clothing storage is a challenge. I decided that instead of a trundle, we would use the space under the bed for clothing. My husband built this simple platform with 2x4 boards and 1/4 inch plywood. We painted it white and added castors, so it can easily roll in and out and the baskets from Target keep the clothes organized. Utilizing the space under the bed has allowed us to forgo bulky dressers and left the floor open for play.

Love it!!! This is the best I have seen yet.

This is great.
If you have anymore ideas like this, I would love to them.

I like the idea of utilizing space under the bed, but it seems like it might be challenging for a young child to pull out the trundle/storage indpendently.

Katie deserves mucho extra points as what you non-MI people don't know is she lives in the middle of NOWHERE so it's not like she just popped down to the store to pick up any of the material for her decor. More planning.
Love the colors, love the alphabet art, LOVE the rug.
