#20 - Now You See It, Now You Play With It

Name: Susan
Child's Name and Age: Katherine, 24 months
Location: Ellicott City, Maryland
Category: TOYS

Items used for the project and favorite part of the storage solution:
Ikea's lack bookshelves, caster wheels at Home Depot and see-through containers at Container Store. My favorite part of the solution is that my daughter can actually see and reach all her play things.

Storage tips for families with children:
With toddlers, I think it is important to instill a sense of independence early on, as they are capable of so much in the right environment. Thus it seems best to go with toy and book storage solutions that give them quick and easy access, without compromising on neatness and aesthetics (because even toddlers can distinguish what is beauty and what is not!).

Wow, what a great big playroom! Lots of space for a toddler to run around in. I love it and am very jealous :)

P.S. I'm jealous of that dollhouse, I totally wanted to get that for Sylvie! It looks so much bigger than I expected it to be, hmmm, maybe for her next birthday...

Wow, what a lucky girl! This playroom is fantastic. I would kill to have a space nearly as nice and large in my house.

Lovely space. Lucky girl.

Is that the dollhouse from plan toys?

Many thanks for all these comments! Yes the dollhouse is from plan toys (can't get enough of their products!). This play space was a mere fantasy for awhile as we just moved from a 688 sq. ft. 1 bedroom in manhattan. And we'll probably return in the next year or two so we're just enjoying it while we can!
