Items used for the project and favorite part of the storage solution:
We bought this armoire 7 years ago when expecting our first baby. It is the Lepine 2098 model in
Kiwi by Morigeau, bought at a local Milwaukee baby store. The closet in the nursery was already full, so we needed something for the baby's clothes. It has been very adaptable over the years.

For both kids it has held hanging baby clothes while the yellow wooden Target bins hold folded clothes. When the clothes get bigger, shelves can be removed for more hanging room and larger bins used. When the nursery becomes a playroom, all the shelves go back in and the bins hold Legos, puzzles, and other many-piece toys. The doors are useful, too. A baby-sized laundry bag hangs on one and a ribbon holds hair ties on the other. Original (from my kids') and vintage (from my dad's nursery) artwork is even on display!

Best storage tip for families with children:
I really had a hard time coming up with a system for keeping my daughter's outfits together. My first was a boy, so I had no idea how many little accessories girls come with! My hubby gets the kids ready in the morning (yes, I'm lucky!) and he would never remember which tights or bloomers went with which dress. So I got several packages of mini clothes pins from IKEA and now I can clip all the accessories to each outfit. Hair ties are clipped to a ribbon hanging on the door. Now I usually don't have to cringe as we go out the door in the morning...Avielle's outfit doesn't clash!

My favorite part is the idea about how to get Daddy to put the right accessories on her daughter! Good one!
