Kids Table and Chairs Set at Target

2009-11-circo1.png

A friend called last week while shopping at Target. She wanted to me know about a new kids table and chairs set she eyed.

We haven't seen it in person but we did find it online. We like the styling of this set, especially the white and birch combination. The chairs have a cut out handle in the seat back so they're easy to move around. If anyone owns this set, please give us a review. You can buy it online here.

It's a shame the matching chairs received such poor reviews on the Target website - the set would be perfect for my daughter's room.

Wow, was I happily surprised to find this table featured on the site today! My husband and I purchase this and the set of chairs almost 2 weeks ago for our 19 month old daughter and we all totally love it! Assembly was simple, fun, fast and easy! I put it together on my own, while my hubby and daughter went out to the park. We sit together at the table daily (the small chair holds my weight fine) and there is so much activity we get into... drawing, play-doh, choo choo train, reading, race cars, music, pretend play, we go on and on! It is a great combo of birch and white and fits PERFECTLY with her Expedit bookshelf and her Oeuf crib. We are very happy with our choice!

I have it too. I saw it in the store and fell in love! I was a little worried when I came home and read the reviews on the website, but really it's not such a problem. They were really easy to put together, I did each piece myself, about 15 minutes each. The only problem I had was that one of the bolts did come out of the pre-drilled hole, like the reviewers said, but that was easily fixed with some gorilla glue. It really wasn't such a big deal. Overall, we love them so far, the chairs are definitely sturdy enough to hold my weight and the tabletop wipes up nicely. And they look really nice!

Found this site just a couple of days ago through a Google images search for "kids table and chairs." Despite the website saying it was available for purchase online only, I ran out and found one at our local Target store. I am surprised and pleased at the quality of the set. I put it together with no major problems. The only issue was one washer was too small for the bolt to fit through, but my husband did some manly thing to make it work.

The set feels sturdy and heavy enough that it shouldn't tip over easily when my 2 year old plays with it; however, she is able to move the chairs around just fine. We have already enjoyed some lovely tea parties. We had looked at some other modern table and chairs sets, but dolls and stuffed animals can't attend a tea party on a stool--they need a chair with a back. We are very happy with the purchase.
