Speaking of bold color, we love the daring raspberry pink Yvette chose for her daughter Tasmyn's room. She painted it when "Tassy" was two and five years later they both still love it. Read on for a good tip from Yvette about when to choose a wall color.
Neutral or subdued walls are easier to play off of, but employing a bit of "strategery" can help you pull off an adventurous color statement. Here are some words of wisdom from Yvette for coordinating bright walls with bedding and other textiles: "I knew I wanted a strong pink and knew it would be easier to match paint to fabric, rather than vice versa. So I found a beautiful fabric for her curtains then chose a paint colour to match." Good thinking!

Thanks Jackie! I made the quilt using a pattern my friend Janelle Wind designed. It's called Little Bluebirds and you can see it here http://thejanellewindcollection.typepad.com/photos/little_bluebirds_block_of/index.html

Very nice. I'm looking for inspiration for the room my two girls will be sharing. My older one has requested a pink room! I think she'll love this.
