If you've ever futilely tried to explain to a three-year-old that "just one more minute" elapsed ten minutes ago, and no, really, you have to leave for preschool now, the Time Timer might sound pretty appealing.

The Time Timer is typically used in Montessori-style classrooms, but we see no reason why it can't be used at home, too, to help with temporal issues such as setting time limits and encouraging children to manage their own time. We like the strong graphic face, and the solid, no-nonsense construction might just convey to your kids that time is kind of a big deal.
