I think a Jenny Lind crib is a design classic, and a good option for parents who do not want to go with a matchy suite of furniture, but rather, are searching for something quirky. We found ours at Plain Jane Kids, and had them custom paint it in a distressed turquoise (we paired it with a Netto-inspired changing table in white lacquer and cherry). We really, really love this crib as does our daughter (you can get a toddler rail for it).

Plain Jane's New York showroom has closed, but they are still working out of their website (www.plainjanekids.com) and Hudson River Valley workroom.

We just saw the Cub at Giggle when we were in SF this weekend. They are currently taking pre-orders. Bleck-- looks cheap with unattractive laminate and exposed bolts. We were really unimpressed.
