Can little ones appreciate great art? Well, it doesn't hurt to get them started. While we love all the great work we find on Etsy, we also like the idea of hanging masterpieces in our child's room. They are vibrant, bold, and if they're fascinating for us as adults, imagine all that can be seen in them through a child's eyes.

A 4-year old insisted on buying an old Cezanne print of ours at a garage sale this summer - she absolutely had her heart set on it.

My son had a large print of Starry Night in his nursery as a baby and when we took him to see the real thing at MoMA at age two, he recognized it. I absolutely love hanging the masters in kid's rooms.

Picasso also did a flamingo in the same vain...IKEA sold them framed awhile back for like $9.99 a piece. I have the dog and love it.

My nursery, which is being decorated in a birds & butterflies theme, will have several Charlie Harper prints of birds on the walls. I'm a big Charlie Harper fan, so the signed prints will always have a place in my home, even after the baby's outgrown the nursery.
