We've been looking for a gift for a toddler who is weeks away from becoming a big brother. We want him to have something to make him feel special amidst all the hustle and bustle of having another child in the house. In an ideal world we would knit him a soft, beautiful creature to call his own. (Heck, in an ideal world we would knit period.)
We're considering buying him a doll from BlaBla Kids where each item is handknit in Peru. The dolls above are new to the collection this month.
We were excited about the introduction of the Boogaloos last year and now they come in mini-sizes too. Aha! Perhaps a set ($29 & $34) would be perfect for our young friend and his new brother or sister.

love these! my boys each have one of the bla bla dolls like in the top picture, and i've tried and tried to get them to be their lovies. alas, they will not cooperate. :)

Yeah! I bought my son a striped cat before he was born. In the last year it became his lovey. We got a lion in a door prize (Sleep is for the weak book signing - fun book!) several months ago and it is finally also becoming a friend.
