Wood Rattles by Imagiplay

2008-11-11-imagiplay.jpg

It's exciting when babies first begin to grab and grasp (decidedly less so when it's your hair or earrings). These simple, wood rattles are as good for holding and shaking as they are for gnawing when teething is at its worst.

They're also inexpensive (about $12) and would look nice propped up on a shelf or as part of a vignette in your child's room once they're past the rattling and teething age.

The wood is beechwood from a managed forest and the rattles are sanded smooth before being finished with beeswax. Made by Imagiplay, they're widely available online if you can't find them locally.

These are really great. I love the simple wooden toys that are becoming more popular these days. We sell somthing similar in my shop by Camden Rose that is enormously popular.

Much nicer than a lot of the plastic stuff out there these days. And Imagiplay is a great company.
