3-D Sidewalk Chalk

060309crayola1.jpgSidewalk chalk art, hopscotch, tic-tac-toe...these are the simple pleasures of outdoor fun. Taking the super simple up a notch, Crayola now has 3-D sidewalk chalk kits. The premise is still quite basic: each chalk stick has two contrasting colors meant to come to life especially well with 3-D glasses. The three Crayola kits are designed with the great outdoors, jungle, and an underwater adventure in mind:

  • 5 Sticks of Dual-Ended Chalk

  • 3-D Glasses

  • 3-D "How-To" Instruction Booklet

Has anyone tried this with other sidewalk chalk and any old pair of 3-D glasses??

We have used the 3D chalk for a while and it's pretty cool. Some colors work better than others in terms of "depth". I don't have any other old 3D glasses to test it with, so I can't say anything about that. We might have to try other "regular" sidewalk chalk to see what happens...

I think these 3D sidewalk chalk works better on black surfaces other than our gray sidewalks and drive ways.

Just a comment - my son used this at a birthday party last week and kneeled on one of the drawings in his tan pants. I've tried everything and cannot get the blue stain out.
