Americana DIY Play Kitchen

2009-06-mammakitch.jpg

An astute reader (thanks Siobhán!) tipped us off to the incredible play kitchen made by Christina aka "Mamma Americana" for her daughter Eleanora. Living up to her blog moniker (right down to the cherry pie baking in the oven), her kitchen is a nod to the iconic vision of your grandma's cozy kitchen on the farm (even if she really lived in Utica).

Christiana used mainly Ikea components and accessories and added some really nice details like plexiglass shelves in the fridge and and an LED pop light. You can see more photos as well as a list of her materials and tools at her blog, Mamma Americana. Be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom to see her excellent makeover of the Ikea Latt kids' table and chairs which matches the kitchen in charm!

Brava, Christina!!

PERFECT! I just love that to death.

Especially the little extras like the kitchen window, shelves, dustpan and hooks, etc.

It all looks so very grown up!

Wishing I had kids......lol
