BRIO Weaving Loom

2007-09-13-brioloom.jpg

We want this for ourselves. The BRIO Weaving Loom seems like one of those things a child will take out to play with again and again. The wooden loom supposedly works like the real thing, a great way to demonstrate how weaving is done.

It's recommended for children 8 years and older, but it looks a bit complicated even to us. Has anyone ever used the Weaving Loom or something similar?

The BRIO Weaving Loom is availble here and elsewhere for $39.99.

I had this when I was younger!
I loved it... I made everything from scarves to rugs for my dollhouse, to pot holders and wall hangings...
Seriously, I worked the tar outta that thing, and it never missed a beat.

Well worth every penny, and it gave me a hands on art project early on that wasn't coloring!

I had one too. I loved it. I still love it, and in fact, spent a long weekend about a year ago helping my mom clean her attic and basement, not because I'm a good child, but because I hoped I would find my loom.

I'm tempted to get one for myself...

I suddenly feel that I was deprived as a child. I did not have one of these, but am now tempted to get one for myself as well (under the guise of buying it for our future child, of course.)

You could use the loom to make a lovey for your future baby - that would justify the purchase!
