Domestic duties aren't limited to the kitchen. That's why we're so glad to see this incredible DIY cardboard washer and dryer play set by the ingenious Fortytworoads. You'll remember she brought us the much beloved DIY cardboard play kitchen.

For just $8, some corrugated cardboard, plexiglass and a little elbow grease, you can create this play washer and dryer set. Based on her design, you won't need any glue, nails, or screws - instead, it is held together with a few clever joins that I designed. Let your imagination run wild and add on your own special details. Buy the plans here.

I would have killed for this as a kid. I am one of those rare people that finds laundry therapeutic, possibly b/c I am still pregnant with my first child.

This is really cute, but I'm curious, since AT supposedly promotes small living, how many readers have space for this sort of thing? With four of us in a 2-bedroom apartment, we certainly don't!

Is it weird that even in this day and age, and perhaps because my husband is a stay at home dad, that I find the idea of pretend laundry play mildly repulsive? My eight year old and one year old have a play kitchen, and I am okay with that, but for some reason the idea of getting excited to play pretend do-the-wash seems a little...dreary?
