apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Enzo Mari’s Il Posto dei Giochi

040809enzo1.jpgThis Italian-made ten foot long corrugated pressboard sheet works as a divider, a fortress, and an adaptable playroom. With ten different panels featuring shapes, patterns, and colors, this 1967 piece is now in its second design run: faithfully re-produced by Edizioni Corraini. With the price tag over $100, we think customizing this idea even further with a DIY version would make for a great project (and you wouldn't worry so much about the destructiveness of hard play)...

$110??? Do you know how much crack you could buy for that? I bet THEY do!

Craziness. What happened to the moving day box play houses you could make for free? The BEST was when we'd get a new refrigerator. That was the holy grail of boxes.
