Etsy Find: Molded Kitty Crayons

042109-crayons.jpg We've always been a fan of crayons that are easy for little hands to hold (ours were always broken because we pressed too hard). These kitty crayons found on Etsy fit the bill perfectly. The fact that they're molded and hand carved to look like cats doesn't hurt any either! They've been in high demand but are back in stock on Etsy this morning, click through for details while there's still some left!

042109-kitty4.jpg These cute little kitties have been individually custom-molded from nontoxic wax crayons. Their faces are then lovingly hand-carved into their egg shaped bodies, one egg at a time. They are ergonomically shaped for little hands, although they are great for all ages. They stand on their own and can be found at the kittybblove Etsy Store. Plus, each kitty egg has the lifespan of approximately 7-8 standard crayons!

042109-kitty2.jpg They are in high demand these days (and had been out of stock) due to their overwhelming cuteness factor, although we were alerted that they were new ones in the store around midnight last night thanks to Twitter. You can add them to your Twitter feed (for those that have them) for instant updates when the store is restocked. You can also check out their blog, or their Flickr for the latest on their shop and other crafty creations.

042109-kitty3.jpg The kitty crayons are snuggled in a nested recycled egg carton, wrapped in vanilla tissue paper, tied with a raffia bow, and includes a hand-stamped note card. They are perfect for your own home or given as a birthday present for a friend, either way, they are sure to make coloring a purrrfect experience (please forgive the feline funny!).

These are awesome!

I wonder if one could find molds and make their own figured crayons with the stubs of old crayons? :)

They are too cute, I don't think i'd want to mess them up by using them :)

I bet there is a mold to make the egg shape.
