Found: High Flying Cable Cars

It's not often a toy stops us in our tracks and has us wishing we had one when we were younger. When it comes to these wooden cable cars, all we could think about was the "mountains" they would climb (and by mountains we really mean tying it to the front porch and to the tree in the front yard!) Details after the jump...

Each different style and size of car has the ability to have extras added on. There are guides that allow for extra support or double lines and winches to make the whole thing go. Check out some of our favorite pieces below.

Featured Left To Right
Basket Cable Car Kit: $1.30 - $30.15. There's supports, a reverse wheel and extra baskets to be had, this could be our most favorite style of them all!
Large Cable Car Kit: $25.65 - $67.75. This car is enough to hold a whole family of people and extra supports can be purchased for extra long rides.
Small Cable Car Kit: $11.10. This style is also available in the double small car kit for those who would like to have more than one car on the line!
Large Cable Car: We really just couldn't get enough of this extra large style!
Winch: $40.90 This winch allow for superior control over the cars on your line and with care will last for generations.

This brings back such fond memories. When I was a kid my best friend (who happened to live next door) and I had something similar strung up between our two second story bedroom windows (over my family's driveway, which ran between our two homes). We had a basket that we would send back and forth over the line, and we would send each other toys, notes and snacks. Each morning when I woke up I would run to the window to see if there was something waiting for me. We have some great photos of the two of us hanging out our windows, with the basket suspended in mid-air somewhere between us.
