Look! Little Tikes Car Makeovers

There are lots of ugly toys out there that kids love and parents just have to accept. One of them is the popular Little Tikes car. But a few moms have given their kid's car a makeover...

A ladybug makeover for a little girl nicknamed "Layne Bug."

While these might not be quite our style, we salute the effort to make something a little more special with the ubiquitous plastic Little Tike. (Or you can always do what Flickr user, KKellyS, did and relegate your Little Tike car to the garden to live out its days as a planter.)

Any ideas for how you'd trick out a Little Tike car?

the make over is horrible. The little car is iconic. We had one almost 20 years ago and looking at that yellow and red car brings back fond memories

I had bookmarked this one a while ago too when someone gave us at hideous Wiggles car (I ban the Wiggles in our house). But I never quite got around to creativity yet.

I think these are brilliant. I'm sure the kids will not forget their "personalized" cars.

My Ghostbusters-obsessed son recently took the decals off of his Little Tikes Police Coupe and instead taped his own drawings (ghost with red line through it) to the doors, turning it into the Ecto 1. It's pretty hilarious.

what! I love the little tike car... it's an icon... only I didn't put the stickers on the one we bought our son, I preferred it "clean".
