Playmobil Holiday Figures

2008-12-09-playmobil.jpg

We still remember the first time we played with Playmobil toys. A classmate brought in an entire set sent to him by loving relatives in Europe. We never forgot it and we eagerly await the day when our oldest is old enough to enjoy Playmobil toys. If you love Playmobil like us, you'll be glad to know they're offering holiday figures.

Pick up the Santa figure or the Snowman, easy stocking stuffers. Or use them to trim to tree. We found them at Urban Outfitters for $3.99 each.

I am currently working on a Playmobil advent calendar that I bought a few years ago in after-Christmas holiday clearance from Target. This morning I opened a second box of branches for a tree.

Playmobil does an advent calendar every year. This year's is called "Christmas in the Park." There's also a Playmobil nativity.

That has got to be the scariest-looking Santa toy I have ever seen! Maybe it's better in person.

The hollow eyes... The menacing stance... The stick?!...
Ahhhhh! Santa's going to eat me!

Sorry, this year's is "Christmas in the Forest." Which is rather nicer, actually.

They also do non-Christmas themed advent calendars:

Advent Calendar "Pirates"

Item #: 4153
Advent Calendar "Knights Duel"

Item #: 4154
Advent Calendar "Unicorn Paradise"

My kids love the Playmobil nativity. We keep it packed away with the other Advent and Christmas decorations, and they only get to play with it from the first Sunday of Advent until Epiphany.
