Shoe Box Fabric Shop

2009-06-fabricshop.jpg

Your kids don't have to be limited to playing "house" with their dolls - they can play shop! Fabric shop to be specific. Jane was inspired to make this darling shoe box shop for her daughters after a trip to Purl Fabric in Soho.

Jane thought the fabric bolts were the most fun to make and what a great way to use up remnants and scraps.

Thanks, Jane - this is giving us lots of ideas for shoe boxes! Pay her a visit at her beautiful blog, Jane and the Ducks.

This is killing me. Maybe we need to transform my daughter's dollhouse into a market. One room can be the fabric shop. Another can be the yarn store. Another can be the butcher shop. Ah! The possibilities are endless.

So cute!

We play a lot of store because I have a garment rack that's on wheels.

I have hung all of our dress up stuff on hangers on the rack for "costume store".
