We must confess- we had one. It was this one with the elevator from the 1970's. Over 50 years Barbie's home has gone from a cardboard studio to...

this one with a flat screen TV. And it's pinker than ever! Check out the rest of the houses over at Cookie.

Hahaha! I had that dream house, too! The elevator made it the coolest -- how in the heck can any girl wrangle a Barbie up those spiral stairs? And all that PINK! My eyes are burning!

Thanks for the trip back in time!

I had two barbie dream houses, both were hand me downs. I had the first one in the slide show, the one that folded up, from my mom although the one we had was in shades of green and blue. and the 1979 a-frame one that I got from an older cousin. the a-frame one was the best!

My friend had that top one -- I loved playing with it! That shag rug on the 2nd floor eventually made it into my living room as an adult! Great memories. :)

I think I had the largest one ever made...it was orange and yellow from the early/mid 80s and had three separate parts, fully removable furniture, windows that opened and flower boxes. It was the size of a small dresser.

I had that same one, Enamorada (but mine was pink)! I used to reenact Hitchcock's Vertigo with Barbies on the roof of mine.

I had the late 70's version - the yellow and orange one. It had large triangle tiles to make different iterations of her patio. I also had the 80's Dream Cottage. They were awesome. And in all honestly, this should be in the present tense, I still have all my Barbie stuff in storage.

I had that one! Only from the eighties, it may have been updated a bit, the elevator was pink. :)

I also had that A-Frame house (Barbie's Beach House) in Enamorada's post.

For the four Barbies I owned, they had swank pads. :)

(confession, I also still own all these pieces...in storage of course...)

AWESOME - thanks for the flashback. I had that dreamhouse but it was missing the elevator. MY Barbies magically floated to each level. ;)

I had the same 1979 style house, except I think the roof was pink. I loved that house.
