The Little Blue House

Are you wondering how to keep your kids entertained on cold, wintery days when outside time is limited? So was LiEr so she made this amazing fabric playhouse for her daughter Jenna's birthday (to share with sisters Kate and Emily) that folds up small and has so many possibilities for imaginative play.

LiEr lucked into the house's underlying structure at a garage sale, but one source for this type of thing is Crazy Forts. The Little Blue House is filled with fun details like a welcome mat, flower boxes and a mail slot and comes stocked with fabric candy so the girls can turn it into a small shop to run (psst! LiEr even provides a tutorial for making lollipops). Head on over to LiEr's blog, Ikat Bag, to see more photos and read more about how she made it.

We're always in awe of LiEr's creativity and beautifully executed projects - Princess Pavilion, Play Garden and Donut Shop On-the-Go to name a few. Keep tabs on all this creativity at Ikat Bag and check out her Etsy shop too.

That is very cool. And I love that it can be folded up.

I think this is a great idea, I just visited a crafts blog that details how to make one of these playhouses that can fit over a table. It's homemadebyjill.com She's been on this site before.
